The Member Business Directory, Reimagined

A taste of what our directory could be — built together.

Aerie instituted 1904 Auxiliary 1948 51 member businesses listed today

From a fellow member — for the Auxiliary's directory project. One piece of the Eagles 925 partnership portfolio, shared as a starting point for conversation.

Where it stands today

Good bones. Ready to be more useful.

Today's directory lists 51 member businesses as a simple name-and-web-address list. That is a real asset — and with a few thoughtful upgrades, it can become the first place members look when they need help.

With appreciation: The current site was built and is maintained by a fellow member, Anita Yoder. This demo builds on her work — it does not replace it. Any upgrade would be worked with her, not around her.

"The directory exists — that already puts the 925 ahead of most clubs. What it isn't yet is useful at the moment a member needs a roofer, a lawyer, or a DJ."

On a phone — where most members will look — there's nothing to tap, no way to search by need, and no quick way to call. The opportunity isn't to start over. It's to make what we already have work at the moment it matters.

The taste — try it

A directory you can search in seconds

Type what you need — roofing, dental, DJ, lawyer — or tap a category. This is a working sample using real member businesses from today's directory.

14 businesses shown

Only Visit website is live in this demo — it opens the real business. Call & Directions show how the full version will look.

No matches in this sample. Try another word — or browse “All.” In the full directory, all 51 businesses would be here.
Sample drawn from the current directory — 14 of 51 listings. Every listing gets this treatment in the full build. “Call” and “Directions” are shown as they would appear — in the full version each one is one tap on a phone.

What a listing becomes

From a name on a list to a business members actually use

1

Found fast

Search + categories, built for phones. A member who needs a plumber at 7 a.m. finds one in seconds — not by scrolling a long list.

2

Tappable

Call, website, directions — one tap from the clubhouse, the parking lot, or the kitchen table. No copying web addresses, no dead ends.

3

Worth joining

The member-offer line gives members a reason to check here first — and gives every member business a reason to be listed. Belonging pays, visibly.

4

Kept current

Listings verified and refreshed, not posted once and forgotten. Links checked, offers updated, new members added as they join.

The clubhouse idea

One QR code on the tables and the bulletin board opens the whole directory — no app, no login. A guest asks for a recommendation, a member points to the code, and a fellow member gets the call.

How we build it together

The Auxiliary leads. This demo supports your project.

No one is handing the Auxiliary a finished product. This is a pattern to react to — shape it, improve it, make it yours. Here's a simple way we could walk through it, step by step:

One short conversation

We look at this demo together, hear what the Auxiliary likes, what you'd change, and what members ask for most. You know the membership best.

Aerie & Auxiliary approve every listing

Nothing goes live without approval. Member businesses supply a logo, one line about their work, and their member offer — in their own words.

Students do the hands-on work, supervised

Students learning real digital work help gather listings, verify links, and build the pages — supervised, hands-on projects with real responsibility. That's the model in the Eagles 925 partnership portfolio.

Small upkeep, on a rhythm

New members added, links checked, offers refreshed. The same student-supported upkeep keeps it current without putting it all on one volunteer.

A note on roles, plainly: Anita Yoder keeps her role with the club's website. The Auxiliary leads the directory effort. RezConnect supplies the directory pattern — the same approach that ran the BOOMERANG student career fair's exhibitor directory — and the student support to build and maintain it. The directory stays the club's, through and through.

The ask

One short conversation to start

Walk through this demo together, gather your ideas, and let the directory be the first piece we build together. Bring the edits — that's what a demo is for. If a business isn't listed yet, this is also the invitation: join the directory, write your one line, add your member offer, and be found the next time a fellow Eagle needs what you do.

For members who want to be included

All it takes to start: your business name, your website (or Facebook page), one line about your work, and the member offer you'd like to show. The Auxiliary collects them — the build team does the rest.
